Allure of the Seas

Launched in December 2010 this is the second of six in the revolutionary and even bigger Oasis-class of ships which heralded the introduction of these ultra-wide and large behemoths second only to the new Icon class of ship. When you board this ship – the realisation is akin to walking into an ultra-smart indoor entertainment mall. The vast Royal Promenade makes up the heart of the ship from which everything else radiates. This indoor street (several storeys high) is one of seven different entertainment neighbourhoods on board. This ship carries 5,400 passengers over 18 decks and 225,282 tonnes. She is 361 metres by 65 metres wide. There are 33 different dining options, 18 bars and lounges, four pools, an interactive water park for kids and a huge adult only solarium on board.

This Oasis Class favourite brings adventure to soaring new heights. Nassau (Bahamas)

A scattered group of islands off the coast of Florida make up the Bahamas and these really mark the gateway to the Caribbean. Cruise ships dock in Nassau (the capital) where you will find the usual selection of shops and also the magnificent Atlantis Hotel with its water park, marine habitat and Dolphin Cay.

Enjoy an uninterrupted day of relaxation at sea taking advantage of the facilities, entertainment and dining options on board.

Costa Maya

Costa Maya is a small tourist region in Mexico on the border with Belize, which until recently was British Honduras. The area is generally undeveloped but has a large pier with a new and modern tourist shopping mall to accommodate cruise ships. The centre has a central plaza with saltwater pools and 'swim-up' style bars. The nearest village to the cruise port is the fishing village of Mahahual approximately 3 kilometers away with soft sand beaches, grass thatched palapas, and a coral reef a short distance off-shore called Banco Chinchorro, as well as several bars, restaurants, and shops. Costa Maya is the closest port of access to many of the lesser known Mayan ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Cozumel

Cozumel is an island just 12 miles long and situated 20 minutes ferry ride from the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Cozumel is really a staging post for cruise passengers to visit mainland Mexico with its Mayan ruins at Tulum. Cozumel town is lively with its many bars and myriad of shops. Explore the Xel Ha aquatic park with its subterranean rivers, natural pools and sacred Mayan Lagoon. We found the scuba diving here to be the best in Caribbean. The best beach is located in the Punta Sur Ecological Park.
