Liberty of the Seas

Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas launched in May 2007 and is the final ship in the trio Freedom class of ship. At just under 160,000 this ship is among the larger cruise ships afloat carrying 3,634 passengers (double occupancy) over 15 passenger decks. She underwent a major revitalization programme in 2017 and will undergo a further Amplification refurbishment programme in Spring 2026 ready for the 2026 Summer season from Southampton. You will then be able to take advantage of new restaurants, Bars and staterooms; plus a Starbucks and the new Royal Escape Room experience.

Zeebrugge (For Bruges)

The Port of Zeebrugge (also referred to as the Port of Bruges) is a major European port in the municipality of Bruges, West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium, handling over 50 million tonnes of cargo annually. The port features convenient shuttle and tram connections to nearby attractions like Bruges, Knokke Beach, and a local chocolate factory. Free and affordable shuttles make it easy to explore, and you’ll also find unique experiences like wine and oyster tasting or a lively bar on wheels nearby. Bruges is situated approximately 16km away on a 15minutes tram ride costing around 5 euros.  From the Rozenhoedkaai and the Market Square, through the Lake of Love and the canals, to the Beguinage, the almshouses and much more. Iconic sites that give the city its look and charm you instantly. The canals of Bruges have for centuries been the veins of the city, winding through Bruges and treating you to another magnificent view around every bend. Take a stroll or a boat trip and discover secret gardens, romantic bridges and medieval facades reflected in the water. Veiled in mist, a family of swans floating past: time stands still on the canals.

Haugesund

Haugesund is a town in western Norway with a rich maritime and Viking heritage. Explore its historical monuments, museums, parks, shops and cafés on foot or by boat. The town’s development was largely thanks to the herring fisheries. The Dokken Museum, which is open in summer, provides an insight into what Haugesund was like 150 years ago, and Karsmund Folk Museum illustrates the town’s history.

Olden

Olden is a peaceful village situated at the end of one of Nordfjord’s arms. Here a lake in the valley has been turned a rich deep green created by the minerals pouring down from the Briksdal Glacier where giant waterfalls make the views spectacular.

The exciting Haugesund region extends from the open sea in the west to the fjord and mountain landscape in the east. A host of nature-based adventures await those who want to experience the contrasts in the fantastic scenery of Western Norway. You can walk in the footsteps of the Vikings, visit the islands of Rovaer and Utsira, and see perpendicular mountains. Definitely worth a visit is the  Langfoss waterfall in the breathtaking Akfrafjord - with a height of 612 metres, Langfoss is one of Norway's 5 highest waterfalls.
