Giorgione Hotel

Located in the Cannaregio District, only at a 10-minute walk from Saint Marks' Square and 5 minutes away from the Rialto Bridge, the Giorgione hotel is perfect for couples on a romantic escapade. The hotel is decorated in a classic Venetian style with Murano glass chandeliers, and features a beautiful interior courtyard with a fountain, the perfect spot to have a late breakfast or a romantic candlelight dinner. This 18th Century building is near the Casino and a quick stroll away from the Doges' Palace, Ca' D'Oro and La Fenice Theatre. The ferry station is also really close to the hotel and the railway station is 2 km away. Guests staying at the hotel will be able to taste traditional Venetian dishes at the Osteria Giorgione restaurant and wine bar next to the hotel. The splendid islands of Laguna, Murano, Burano and Torcello are only a boat ride away, leaving from Fondamenta Nuove.

Venice

History, architecture, dining, romance and pure wander lust through the cobbled streets and by the canals is what Venice is all about. Top souvenirs would be Venetian Glass (also known as Murano Glass) or the famous and flamboyant masks. Standing in the middle of the magnificent piazza San Marco is an experience in itself -once described by: Napoleon as the 'drawing room of Europe'. St Mark's Basilica ,Doge's Palace and the clock tower built between 1496 and 1506 - are the city's main attractions. St. Mark's Basilica, built in the eleventh century, is the most famous and most recognizable of all the churches in the city of Venice. Its design is considered one of the best examples of Byzantine architecture in the world, known for its opulent design and gilded interior mosaics, and nicknamed "Church of Gold". The magnificent Doge's Palace is one of the most important buildings in Venice; it was the centre of power, from where the Venetian Republic was ruled. No trip to Venice would be complete without a punt down one of the city's picturesque waterways in an iconic gondola.

After breakfast transfer by shared water taxi to the airport where you will join the coach transfer to take you to the Port of Ravenna to embark the ship.

Norwegian Gem

The 93,530 tonne Norwegian Gem was launched in 2007 and was extensively refurbished in 2015 as part of NCL's$400 million Norwegian Edge upgrade programme. This smart sleek looking ship is part of the 4 ship Jewel class that offers a spacious feel to its well laid range of facilities. The ship has 17 dining options and 15 bars on board to give you the freedom to enjoy your cruise exactly as you please with its freestyle dining concept. There are no set dining times and tables – you simply make a reservation in the restaurant of your choice at the time you want to eat.

With 17 dining options on board there is something to suit all tastes and plenty of time to try them out during your cruise. There are nine complimentary options included in the price such as a choice of two main dining rooms: Grand Pacific and Magenta. Help yourself in the Garden Cafe or Great Outdoors buffet restaurants. There is a pool side bar and grill; a pub style dining venue - O' Sheehan's and a further 50' style bar and grill overlooking the pool area - Bali Hai. Split

Split is a medieval port which nestles on the sparkling Dalmatian Coastline of Croatia has a picturesque pedestrianised centre and a 60-metre-high cathedral bell tower. Diocletian's Palace is one of the best preserved Roman Palaces in Europe and a UNESCO world heritage site.

Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is one of Croatia's many highlights. This unique12th century walled city has cobbled streets , towering ramparts and red roofed building overlooking a pretty fishing harbour. Visit Onofrio's Fountain, Sponza Palace and the Church St Blaise.

Kotor

Kotor is well known for its stunning architecture and amazing natural setting in a dramatic bay with tall emerald-green hillsides. This small town with its cobbled streets and maze of alleyways, shops, bars and restaurants is surrounded by well-preserved walls that feature many landmarks making Kotor itself a UNESCO World heritage site.

Corfu

Corfu is the northern-most and capital of the Ionian Island chain - lying just a short hop from the coast of Albania. One of Corfu's many claims to fame is the birthplace of Prince Philip at the Palace of Mon Repos. It is where the famous zoologist Gerald Durrell lived with his family just before World War two - being the setting for his book - My Family and Other Animals, and the location for the popular TV series.

The Achilleon Palace is home to the statue of Achilles Heel and was where Kaiser Wilhelm declared World War I. Corfu Town is the largest "living" medieval town in Greece and an absolute pleasure to walk around, perhaps watch some cricket in the square or sample the excellent local cuisine. Try the local Kumquat liquor or simply watch the world go by with an ice-cold Frappe. Rolling Cypress Pine clad hills drop down to beautiful bays and beaches.

Messina (Sicily)

Sicily is situated just 3 miles from the mainland under the shadow of Mount Etna. Perhaps visit picturesque Taormina with its hilltop Saracen Castle and the Ancient Greek Ampitheatre.

Salerno

Salerno is the gateway to the delights of the Amalfi Coast and the gorgeous cliff top Sorrento. Perhaps visit the ruins Pompeii and Herculaneum in the midst of Mount Vesuvius.

After breakfast disembark the ship on the Port of Civitavecchia and make your way to central Rome for an overnight hotel stay. The quickest and cheapest way to reach Rome is by train from the Civitavecchia station to the central Rome Railway Terminii - it takes about 90 minutes and costs approximately 7 Euros per person. Plus your hotel in Rome is within walking distance of the station.

Rome

The circus maximus once seated 250,000 spectators for chariot races around 11 BC. While the oval shape of Piazza Navona, which houses the magnificent Four River Fountain, is a clue to its Stadium of Domitian heritage from 86 AD were gladiators fought and athletes competed. The Spanish Steps, the home of John Keats, were built in 1723-1725 and are another of those must-see places – a place to sit and people watch artists, poets and painters.The best place to stay is in the centre of Rome close the train terminus which puts you within walking distance of many of the major attractions. Walking is the best option to enable you to unearth some unexpected sights, memorable moments and great photo opportunities.
