Lake Garda

Lake Garda: For the ancient Romans Lake Garda was a luxury summer destination with Roman ruins and mosaics in Sirmione and Desenzano to prove it. Long and slim Lake Garda is located in the north-east of Italy, stretching from north to south. The southern lakeshore is low, rolling land and fairly built-up. In contrast, the dramatic fjord-like northern end is surrounded by towering mountains and cliffs. Most of the lakeside towns are popular as holiday resorts; they differ in character but all are well-connected by boat services. Isola Del Garda is a beautiful private island which dates back to the Roman Empire. Three of Italy's 20 wine producing regions border Lake Garda. Each one uses grape varieties which are local to the region to produce a diverse range of red, white and rose wines. Malcesine is a picturesque town with cobblestone lanes and a striking castle on the edge of the water with the backdrop of Mont Baldo. Visit Castello Scaligero which was once a regal home or stroll through the medieval streets to the Palazzo Dei Capitani once the headquarters of the ruling Venetian elite.

After breakfast make your way to the nearby Desenzano train station for your journey to Santa Lucia station in central Venice. Make your way to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Venice

History, architecture, dining, romance and pure wander lust through the cobbled streets and by the canals is what Venice is all about. Top souvenirs would be Venetian Glass (also known as Murano Glass) or the famous and flamboyant masks. Standing in the middle of the magnificent piazza San Marco is an experience in itself -once described by: Napoleon as the 'drawing room of Europe'.

St Mark's Basilica ,Doge's Palace and the clock tower built between 1496 and 1506 - are the city's main attractions. St. Mark's Basilica, built in the eleventh century, is the most famous and most recognizable of all the churches in the city of Venice. Its design is considered one of the best examples of Byzantine architecture in the world, known for its opulent design and gilded interior mosaics, and nicknamed "Church of Gold".

The magnificent Doge's Palace is one of the most important buildings in Venice; it was the centre of power, from where the Venetian Republic was ruled. No trip to Venice would be complete without a punt down one of the city's picturesque waterways in an iconic gondola.

After breakfast take a water taxi to Venice Marco Polo airport and join the Norwegain Cruise Line coach transfer to Ravenna to embark the ship.

Corfu

Corfu is the northern-most and capital of the Ionian Island chain - lying just a short hop from the coast of Albania. One of Corfu's many claims to fame is the birthplace of Prince Philip at the Palace of Mon Repos. It is where the famous zoologist Gerald Durrell lived with his family just before World War two - being the setting for his book - My Family and Other Animals, and the location for the popular TV series.

The Achilleon Palace is home to the statue of Achilles Heel and was where Kaiser Wilhelm declared World War I. Corfu Town is the largest "living" medieval town in Greece and an absolute pleasure to walk around, perhaps watch some cricket in the square or sample the excellent local cuisine. Try the local Kumquat liquor or simply watch the world go by with an ice-cold Frappe. Rolling Cypress Pine clad hills drop down to beautiful bays and beaches.

Perama is a scenic coastal area on the eastern side of Corfu, located about 7 km south of Corfu Town, making it one of the island’s most convenient bases for sightseeing and bus connections.  Famous for its iconic postcard view of Mouse Island (Pontikonisi) and the whitewashed Vlacherna Monastery, Perama sits directly opposite Kanoni and is linked to it by a pedestrian causeway. From here, visitors enjoy some of the best views in Corfu, along with easy access to taxi boats crossing to Mouse Island. The islet is one of Corfu’s most photographed landmarks, topped by a small historic chapel and steeped in local legend.

The Vlacherna Monastery, sitting at the end of a narrow walkway just offshore, is a serene 17th‑century monastery and a must‑see stop before venturing by boat to Mouse Island. Its proximity to the airport also makes Perama a popular spot for plane‑spotting and sunset photography.

Katakolon (For Olympia)

Katakolon, a charming seaside town in western Ilia, Greece, is the second‑busiest cruise port in the country and the gateway to Ancient Olympia, located about 34–38 km away. Known for its laid‑back waterfront, traditional shops, and easy access to pristine Ionian beaches, Katakolon offers visitors an authentic Greek coastal experience before journeying inland to Olympia.

Ancient Olympia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the legendary birthplace of the Olympic Games, held every four years from 776 BC. Set in a lush Peloponnese valley where the Alpheios and Kladeos rivers meet, the site features the ruins of the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, and the ancient stadium that once hosted thousands of spectators. Today, it remains one of Greece’s most significant archaeological sanctuaries, preserving masterpieces of ancient Greek culture and history.

Mykonos

Mykonos, one of the most famous Greek Isles, is a glamorous destination known for its whitewashed Cycladic architecture, vibrant nightlife, and stunning beaches. Explore charming alleys lined with boutiques, visit iconic windmills, and relax on golden sands like Paradise and Elia Beach. Mykonos also offers rich history with nearby Delos Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its mix of luxury, culture, and breathtaking views, Mykonos is a must-visit stop on any Mediterranean cruise.

Santorini

The most popular port of call on any cruise itinerary is the photographer's paradise of Santorini. This volcanic island is made up of a crescent shaped Caldera which is the edge of an ancient volcano . Ancient legend suggests that this was the site of the lost city of Atlantis – when the volcano erupted the centre of this island disappeared in to the sea leaving the remnant known as Santorini.

Aftrer breakfast disembark the ship in the port of Pireaus and transfer to Athens airport for your flight home.
