Syros

Syros is one of the smaller islands of the Cyclades Islands and a neighbour of Mykonos which is 30 miles away to the west. This best kept secret of Greece is ideal to escape the crowds of the bigger islands and enjoy that increasingly elusive and authentic Greek experience. This is an island praised for its mesmerizing architecture and calm atmosphere. It is popular among families and couples, as it is home to several points of interest, beaches with crystal clear waters, lovely accommodations and restaurants serving high-quality and tasty dishes! The island's capital, called Ermoupolis, is also the capital of the whole Cyclades and a cultural hub for art lovers.

Patmos

Patmos is a serene Greek island located in the eastern Aegean Sea, forming part of the Dodecanese island chain in southeastern Greece. It lies between Leros and Ikaria, around 35 km south of Samos and approximately 80–90 km north of Kos, making it an easy stop on Greek island‑hopping routes. Known for its spiritual heritage and tranquil atmosphere, Patmos combines timeless landscapes with a sense of deep cultural significance.

Rhodes

Rhodes is part of the Dodecanese chain of islands and situated close to the Turkish coast. Rhodes is the largest of this 12 islands chain where the Colossus is once said to have stood straddling Mandraki Harbour next to the ancient walled city of Rhodes Town. Rhodes Old Town is an ancient walled city with its cobbled streets and history that dates back to the crusades and the Knights of St John. Visit the Acropolis of Rhodes, Temple of Apollo, Palace of the Grand Master, Modern Art Gallery and perhaps have a flutter in the casino. There is so much more to Rhodes such as Efta Piges (7 Springs Park) with its ancient underground aquifer and fresh water lake, the Roman Spa at Kalithea, picturesque Lindos, tiny hill top white washed churches, olive groves and wonderful beaches.

Ixia is a modern, upscale beach resort on the west coast of Rhodes, famous for its long pebble‑sand shoreline, luxury hotels, and ideal conditions for windsurfing and watersports. Located just 8 km from Rhodes Airport (RHO)—about 10–15 minutes by taxi or bus—it’s one of the most convenient resort areas for arrivals.

Ixia also sits very close to the island’s capital, with Rhodes Town approximately 8–10 km away, making it easy to explore the Medieval Old Town, Mandraki Harbour, and coastal promenades while staying in a quieter, more spacious beachfront area.

Known for its stunning sunsets, excellent dining, and a blend of relaxation and activity, Ixia is perfect for couples, families, and travelers wanting both beach time and quick access to Rhodes’ cultural highlights.

Outside the busy town, coves and bays of the Datça Peninsula make lovely daytrip destinations for those travelling by boat.

Heraklion (Crete)

Crete is the southernmost and largest of the Greek Islands. The major port of call is the Capital Heraklion in the centre of the Island. This is close to the ancient Palace of Knossos and the Minoan civilisation from 4000 years BC. Knossos is home to the ancient myth of the Minotaur and the Labyrinth . During world War II Crete was the last bastion of the Greek resistance when the locals helped Allied troops escape South through the Samaria Gorge as German paratroopers invaded from Souda Bay. Here you will high snow-capped mountains, an incredible 12km hiking trail through the Samaria Gorge and ancient Lassithi Plateau with its windmills and the birth-place of Zeus.

Santorini

The most popular port of call on any cruise itinerary is the photographer's paradise of Santorini. This volcanic island is made up of a crescent shaped Caldera which is the edge of an ancient volcano . Ancient legend suggests that this was the site of the lost city of Atlantis – when the volcano erupted the centre of this island disappeared in to the sea leaving the remnant known as Santorini.

Monemvasia

Monemvasia, often called the “Gibraltar of the East,” is a medieval fortress town located on a small island off the southeastern Peloponnese in Greece, linked to the mainland by a narrow causeway. Entirely carved onto the seaward side of a massive rock, it was built to remain hidden from invaders, creating one of Greece’s most atmospheric historic sites. Visitors can explore its cobbled lanes, Byzantine churches such as Agia Sofia, stone mansions and castle ruins overlooking the Aegean Sea. With dramatic sea views and exceptional preserved architecture, Monemvasia offers a striking journey into Greece’s past.
