Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas entered service on 27 January 2024, setting a new global benchmark as the largest cruise ship ever built. Measuring 364 metres in length and weighing 248,663 gross tonnes, this Icon Class flagship was constructed by Meyer Turku in Finland and homeports in Miami. Designed as the world’s most advanced floating resort, Icon of the Seas features 20 decks, eight distinct neighbourhoods, seven pools, and the largest waterpark at sea, alongside premium dining, immersive entertainment and family‑friendly attractions. Carrying up to 7,600 guests with a highly attentive 2,350‑strong crew, the ship is powered by LNG technology for improved efficiency.
