Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas launched in November 2003 and is the fifth and final ship of the revolutionary five ship Voyager class. When these large, impressive ships were launched they were the biggest cruise ships afloat but have now been surpassed by the recent Icon class at almost double the size. Despite this – Mariner of the Seas is 1020 feet long at 138,279 tonnes and accommodates 3114 passengers at double occupancy over 15 passenger decks. There are 20 dining options, 3 pools, 6 whirlpools and 2 adrenalin pumping waterslides. There are specific areas on board for children, families and adults only which appeals to all types of holiday maker from all walks of life. In 2018 Royal Caribbean invested $120 million into the refurbishment of Mariner of the Seas, and the results made it one of the favourite ships of Royal Caribbean.
