Celebrity Ascent, launched in 2023 and christened on 1 December 2023, is the fourth ship in Celebrity Cruises’ award‑winning Edge Series, joining Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Beyond. She completed construction at Chantiers de l’Atlantique and entered service on 22 November 2023, sailing her maiden voyage on 3 December 2023.
Ascent features a tonnage of 141,420 GT, a length of 1,073 ft, beam of 128–129 ft, and offers 21 decks (with 17 guest‑accessible decks depending on source classification). She accommodates 3,260 guests at double occupancy and up to 3,937 passengers maximum, supported by approximately 1,416 crew members.
The ship offers a premium resort‑style experience with multiple swimming pools, including the Resort Deck pool and two cantilevered “float” pools located within the open‑air Rooftop Garden. Guests can indulge in 32 restaurants, bars and lounges, including the signature Le Voyage by Chef Daniel Boulud, as well as four main dining rooms, speciality venues, cafés and social bars.
As the newest member of the Edge‑class fleet, Celebrity Ascent carries forward the class‑defining innovations such as the outward‑facing design, the Magic Carpet platform, Infinite Veranda staterooms, and The Retreat®—a suite‑only enclave featuring a private restaurant, lounge and sundeck.
