Cabo Rojo, Dominican Republic

Cabo Rojo, located in the Pedernales province of the Dominican Republic, is a breathtaking destination known for its pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and dramatic red cliffs that give the area its name. This unspoiled paradise is perfect for travelers seeking tranquility, natural beauty, and adventure away from crowded tourist spots. Cabo Rojo is part of the Jaragua National Park, a protected area rich in biodiversity, making it ideal for eco-tourism and wildlife enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy white-sand beaches, crystal-clear swimming spots, and panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. The region is also famous for its salt flats and nearby attractions like Bahía de las Águilas, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Whether you're looking for a serene escape, snorkeling opportunities, or scenic photography, Cabo Rojo offers an authentic Dominican experience in a stunning natural setting.

Oranjestad (Aruba)

Aruba is situated just 15 miles off the coast of Venezuela at the Southern end of the Caribbean. This island is just 5 Miles wide by 19 Miles long so getting around does not take long and is relatively in-expensive. The north side of the island has an exposed rocky coast while the south coast has the soft white sand beaches, great shopping, stunning sea and desert landscape views. All of this can be experienced from the capital Oranjestad with its heavy Dutch influences. The closet beaches to the capital are Surfside Beach and Druif Beach both with soft white sand. Aruba is a mecca for American tourist and beach holidays. Ships moor at the quayside and it is a short walk into town.

Curaçao

The volcanic island of Curaçao is sandwiched in between Bonaire and Aruba and is lies in the far South of the Caribbean just 40 miles off the coast of Venezuela. The capital Willemstad is a cosy Dutch haven with its neat row houses which are 17th and 18th century Dutch colonial buildings. Visit the Hato Caves formed from coral reefs, the freshwater waterfall and Shete Boka National Park with its limestone tidal cavern. The Ostrich Farm is the largest outside of Africa where you can feed the birds and watch the Ostrich dance. Best souvenir buys are Delft pottery and of course the Sapphire Blue Liqueur – Curacao.

Enjoy an  uninterrupted day of relaxation at sea making the most of the entertainment, facilities and dining options on board.

Falmouth (Jamaica)

Falmouth has recently been developed as an alternative cruise port on the north coast halfway between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. There are some great attractions on Jamaica – the biggest one being Dunn's River Falls made famous by the James Bond film Dr No. Gentle bamboo rafting on the Martha Brae river (made famous by Errol Flynn) is exceedingly tranquil and worth doing. Another great trip is horse riding through the sugar cane plantations, on to the beach then swimming on your horse in the sea - absolutely marvellous. Perhaps visit the Blue Mountains and the coffee plantations for a unique souvenir or gift.

Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands)

This island remains part of the British Commonwealth and it is famed for its Scuba diving and white sandy beaches - in particular 7 Mile Beach close to Georgetown the capital. It is also one of the few nesting grounds of the loggerhead turtle. One of the best things to do is snorkelling with the Sting Rays – you will not be disappointed. Try visiting Hell - a village in the far corner of the island where you will find a turtle farm. Ships generally anchor off shore here and the island is reached by tender.
