Ship

Allure of the Seas

Royal Caribbean

Launched in December 2010 this is the second of six in the revolutionary and even bigger Oasis-class of ships which heralded the introduction of these ultra-wide and large behemoths second only to the new Icon class of ship. When you board this ship – the realisation is akin to walking into an ultra-smart indoor entertainment mall. The vast Royal Promenade makes up the heart of the ship from which everything else radiates. This indoor street (several storeys high) is one of seven different entertainment neighbourhoods on board. This ship carries 5,400 passengers over 18 decks and 225,282 tonnes. She is 361 metres by 65 metres wide. There are 33 different dining options, 18 bars and lounges, four pools, an interactive water park for kids and a huge adult only solarium on board. Entertainment Place down on deck 4 is another of those seven neighbourhoods making nightlife central where you will find the theatre, Studio B Ice Rink, Comedy Live, The Casino and Blaze nightclub. The Boardwalk is one of the outdoor neighbourhoods and is situated at the back of the ship representing everything seaside with a hot dog stand, Aqua theatre, arcades and much more – there is even a carousel. It is also the landing point of the Ultimate Abyss twin dry slides from 10 decks above. Central Park ( on deck 8) is the third of the outdoor neighbourhoods and is situated in the centre of the ship in between the two superstructures. Here is a tranquil setting filled with live plants and tress and lined with bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. It is also the arrival point of the Rising Tide bar from the Royal Promenade 3 decks below. This ship also features two Flowrider surfing simulators, a zip wire adventure, golf putting course the huge Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Centre, the Mission Control Escape Room and much, much more. Needless to say - there is a vast choice of staterooms to choose from including suites, inward view balconies, side sea view balconies, ocean view balconies and interior staterooms for virtual view windows.
