This fertile region of Canada has many orchards, vineyards & wineries; and picturesque Niagara On the Lake is not to be missed ! This was the original capital of Canada and is now a Heritage Town full of shops, restaurants and pristine groomed sidewalks and gardens. The famous Floral Clock and Brocks Monument are also interesting sights to see.

After breakfast make your way to the nearby train station to embark the train for a 1020am departure. Travel across the border and through Upstate New ork to Manhattan for an overnight hotel stay.

Niagara Falls – Cross the Border - Buffalo – Upstate New York – Manhattan.
The journey takes approximately 11 hours through the lush greenery of Upstate New York past the Finger Lakes region, Adirondack Mountains, Cranberry Lakes and through some major historic landmarks. There is an intriguing mix of early European settlers trading with native Mohawk Indians and some big names in American corporate history, such as GEC, Kodak and Xerox. Perhaps opt for a holiday in the Fall (autumn) when the air is crisp and the foliage is turning a magnificent array of colours, from russet to orange, red and yellow.
The train features a café car for snacks drinks and alcoholica drinks - extra charge payable. During the journy there are couple of extended stops for you to get off and stretch your legs.

New York

Explore this buzzing city in a continual sweep starting in Central Park and working south towards Wall Street and Battery Park where boat trips depart for The Statue of Liberty and the fascinating Immigration Museum on Ellis Island. Definitely take advantage of the shopping on 5th Avenue. Stop off for a coffee in the golden atrium of the Trump Tower and stroll through the Rockerfelller centre on your way to marvel at the bright lights of Times Square. Soak up the panoramic views from the viewing platform at the top of the Empire State Building as the sun sets over the horizon and the lights twinkle on.

Independence of the Seas

Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas launched in May 2008 and is the final ship in the trio Freedom class of ship. At just under 160,000 this ship is among the larger cruise ships afloat carrying 3,634 passengers (double occupancy) over 15 passenger decks. She underwent a major amplification programme in 2018 costing $100 million which added some great new features including Perfect Storm water slides, Splashaway Bay, "Battle for Planet Z" glow-in-the-dark laser tag, New escape room, Improved ice rink, Fish & Ships by the pool and new lounges.

This ship is a lovely size so as not to feel overwhelmed but with enough going on across its vast range of facilities to keep you more than occupied. There are 18 dining options, 6 pools and 3 adrenalin pumping waterslides. There are specific areas on board for children, families and adults only which appeals to all types of holiday maker from all walks of life.

The Royal Promenade is a central avenue on board lined with bars, restaurants, shops and cafes. Look out for fabulous parade party events during each cruise. The solarium is an adult only pool space with retractable glass roof and cantilevered whirlpools. Kings Wharf (Bermuda)

Located at the West End of Bermuda on Ireland Island in Dockyard Parish, the port was built for the British Navy as a base between Halifax and the West Indies. The Georgian-style fort here later served as a North Atlantic base during both World Wars; it was finally abandoned in 1951 and is a popular tourist spot together with the National Museum of Bermuda, the Arts Centre and the Bermuda Craft Market. Trek up nearly 200 steps to the top of historic Gibbs Hill Lighthouse in Southampton, shop at the Clocktower Mall, sample a scrumptious rum cake at the Bermuda Rum Cake Company or stroll through the Arts Centre to view the works of Bermuda's premier artists.

St Maarten

This island was settled at different periods buy both the Dutch and the French so there are two distinct halves to the island. The capital is Philipsburg where the cruise ships dock at the quayside. This is a delightful warren of narrow streets with interesting shops and leafy courtyard cafes. This is a wonderful place to wander around starting in Wathey Square where you will fund a fine collection of West Indian Gingerbread houses. The French Capital is Marigot- worth visiting for its markets, café lined waterfront and the chic boutiques of Marina Port La Royale. If you are feeling really adventurous perhaps head to world famous Maho beach at the end of the runway to experience aircraft taking off and landing directly overhead.

San Juan (Puerto Rico)

San Juan is the capital of the island which is 110 miles long by 40 miles wide and was claimed by Christopher Columbus for Spain in 1493. Spain possessed Puerto Rico for over 400 years, despite attempts by France, the Netherlands, and England to capture the island. Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory of the United States where Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens. Attractions include Bioluminescent Bay- a truly brilliant natural wonder, this bay, particularly on moonless nights, literally glows in the dark. Flamenco beach is in a nearly wave-less, sheltered cove where fish swim right up to the edge of the water that is waist deep for quite a stretch and has at least 20 yards of crystal clear visibility underwater. Visit the El Yunque rainforest where you can swim in the waterfall.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

Puerto Plata, located on the stunning Atlantic coast of the Dominican Republic, is a vibrant destination known for its golden beaches, lush mountains, and rich cultural heritage.
