Breakfast will be served at the hotel. At 6:30 a.m., we’ll set off by coach for the Château de Chambord. Enjoy a tour of this majestic castle and its grounds. We’ll then continue on to Chenonceau, stopping for lunch in a local restaurant. After our visit, we’ll head to Nantes, arriving in the evening. We’ll welcome our passengers on board upon your arrival. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we’ll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail.

Chateau de Chambord

Château de Chambord, the largest château in the Loire Valley, is celebrated for its distinctive French Renaissance architecture blending medieval forms with classical style. Located about 180 km from Paris by road, roughly a two‑hour drive, it sits within a vast forested estate once used as a royal hunting ground. Nearby, the elegant Château de Chenonceau, built across the River Cher and known as the “Ladies’ Château,” lies just 55–57 km from Chambord, making it an ideal paired visit for exploring Loire Valley architecture and history.

Enjoy free time in the seaside town of Saint-Nazaire or perhaps book one of the optional excursions. Trace the history of French Ocean Liners and visit the ship building yard. in the evening the boat cruises back to Nantes.

Saint-Nazaire

Saint‑Nazaire, France is a dynamic coastal city famed for its long ship‑building heritage and world‑class shipyards. Enjoy free time in the town of Ancenis in the morning and stay on board to sail to Chalonnes sur Loire. Or perhaps book the optional excursion. 

This will be dedicated to a full day’s excursion to the Châteaux of the Loire Valley. Visiting the Château d’Azay-le-Rideau -built on an island in the middle of the Indre River and the continue on to Villandry for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a stroll through the gardens of the Château de Villandry and the castle otself which is a living testament to French heritage.Then join the boat in the evening in Chalonnes-sur-Loire.

Ancenis

Ancenis, France is a charming Loire riverside town set between Nantes and Angers, known for its medieval heritage, scenic river views, and welcoming atmosphere. Visitors can explore the historic Château d’Ancenis, stroll along the Loire, and enjoy the region’s vineyards and outdoor activities. With its rich history, picturesque setting, and easy access to major Loire Valley destinations, Ancenis offers an ideal blend of culture, nature, and relaxed French living.

Enjoy free time in the morning in the town of Chalonnes sur Loire. Or perhaps book one of the optional excursions. 

- Visit the historical sections of Angers and see the legendary Apocalypse Tapestry. 

- Tour of the Château de Brissac and wine tasting. 

In the afternoon the boat will cruise back to Ancenis.

Tonight is our gala evening. Then the boast sails to Nantes in the evening.

Chalonnes‑sur‑Loire is a picturesque riverside town in the Loire Valley UNESCO World Heritage area, known for its stunning Loire River views, rich wine culture, and historic charm. Nestled among Anjou’s renowned vineyards, it offers scenic walks, cycling routes, and opportunities to taste exceptional local wines. With its peaceful riverbanks, medieval heritage, and welcoming atmosphere, Chalonnes‑sur‑Loire is an ideal destination for nature lovers, wine enthusiasts, and Loire Valley explorers.

After breakfast disembark the ship in Nantes and transfer back to central Paris by coach. Then make you own way to the airport for your flight home.
