After completing your cruise, travel by direct train to Paris, with easy station transfers and a two‑night stay in a four‑star hotel with breakfast. End your holiday with a comfortable Eurostar trip to London St Pancras, avoiding extra flights and enjoying a classic rail experience. This itinerary brings together French culture, river beauty and stress‑free European travel.

Fly to Lyon and transfer to the river cruise terminal to embark the boat at 6pm. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. Dinner tonight will be followed by an evening of entertainment.

History and authenticity will be on the program throughout your cruise on the Rhone. Visit the Cluny Abbey, which has had an exceptional political, artistic and religious influence on Europe, then admire the castle of Tournon which stands upright on its majestic rock in the heart of the town and houses a museum labelled "Museum of France" since 1927. 

MS Van Gogh

Built in 1999 and completely renovated in 2018, this ship has been redesigned and refitted according to the new standards of the company and offers larger, bright and comfortable spaces. MS Van Gogh is 110 metres long by 11.4 metres wide with 54 staterooms carrying upto to 105 passengers. In terms of decoration, the colour combination of gray blue and orange creates a lot of style and elegance. In a nod to the artist whose name it takes, the ship showcases some of his famous paintings, including those from the Sunflowers series. The patterns of the fabrics as well as the dressing of the bar follow the techniques developed by Van Gogh: impressionism and pointillism.

The two main common areas are located on the upper deck. At the front, the lounge / bar and at the back, the restaurant where all meals will be served during the cruise. The 20 cabins on the upper deck have French balconies and the 34 cabins on the main deck have windows. On the sun deck, an ideal place to relax and admire the landscapes, passengers can enjoy comfortable sun loungers, as well as a large shaded area.

With art, architecture and a lively local atmosphere, Avignon offers a beautiful blend of history and Southern French charm.

Our Ship will cruise to Arles. In the afternoon, join us for the optional excursions proposed: CLASSIC: Discover the Camargue. We'll visit a "manade" (bull breeding farm) and learn about how a manadier works with the animals. DISCOVERY: Discovery in jeeps through the Camargue for an original immersion in the wilderness.

We'll return on board for dinner and an evening of traditional Provençal entertainment.

Arles and the Camargue

Arles is a stunning Provençal city famed for its Roman monuments, artistic heritage and warm Mediterranean character. Wander its ancient amphitheatre, lively squares and colourful streets that inspired Vincent van Gogh. With museums, markets and well‑preserved architecture, Arles offers a rich blend of history, culture and Southern French atmosphere.
 
The Camargue, about 30 km from Arles, is a wild nature region known for pink flamingos, white horses, wetlands and vast salt flats. It’s ideal for scenic tours, wildlife spotting and coastal views.

This morning will be spent cruising to Tournon. Join us on an optional CLASSIC/DISCOVERY excursion : Guided tour of Tournon. We'll visit the imposing Castle-Museum of Tournon-sur-Rhône followed by a tasting of local wines* and regional delicacies.

We'll then return on board. Tonight's our gala dinner and evening. Our ship will cruise towards Lyon during the night

Tournon is a picturesque Rhône Valley town known for its riverside setting, medieval castle and surrounding vineyard‑covered hills. Walk along the waterfront, explore the historic Château‑Musée and enjoy views of the famous Tain‑l’Hermitage slopes across the river. With charming streets, local wine culture and rich heritage, Tournon offers a scenic and welcoming stop in the heart of French wine country.

Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 am.Make your way to the nearby train station for your 2-hour journey to Paris for an overnight hotel stay.
