Itinerary

Welcome to Iceland! After touching down, you'll be met and whisked to your centrally located hotel. This evening is all about settling in, grabbing a warm drink, and soaking up the unique atmosphere of Reykjavik's colourful streets and lively cafes, the perfect prelude to your Arctic adventure.

Grand Hotel Reykjavik

This city hotel is situated in a quiet area 1. 5 km from the city centre, just a few minutes away from the National Gallery of Iceland, Hallgrimskirkja Church, Reykjavik City Hall and Althingi. The hotel, with a total of 314 rooms on 14 floors, is aimed at business travellers, conference guests and tourists. It is air-conditioned with a 24-hour reception, lift access, bar, dining, conference and parking facilities. There is also 24-hour room service and a laundry service available. The rooms are equipped with first-class amenities, including an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower and hairdryer, large beds, satellite TV, radio, telephone, minibar, ironing facilities, tea/coffee making facilities, individually adjustable heating and a safe deposit box. There is a swimming pool just a 5-minute walk away. A full breakfast buffet is also served.

Reykjavík

Reykjavík city centre is approximately forty five minutes by road from Keflavik airport and only 5 minutes away from the cruise terminal on the edge of town. Swim in open-air pools heated by the very geothermal springs that inspired Reykjavik's name. Blue Lagoon geothermal spa is where minerals bubble up from 5,000ft below the earth's surface. The charming old quarter of Reykjavík has colourful wooden houses and narrow streets. Visit the impressive volcanic craters of the Heidmork conservation area, and enjoy a stop at The Pearl, a remarkable and unique building, built in 1988.
